What are Sustainable development goals?

This is to give a overview and insight into what the history, the evolution, and the management of the sustainable development goals.

History

of the sdgs

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) evolved from the eight Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), which the United Nations originally developed from 2000-2015. However, shortly after their Millennium Summit, which these goals prompted, they discovered they had critically missed many issues which could not sustain these eight goals. They discovered they lacked the inclusion and diversity of marginalized communities, including but not limited to people with disabilities.

As a result, they developed the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which focused on a more detailed plan of which targets they wanted to achieve with those goals. From the eight original targeted goals, they expanded it to nine other goals for a total of 17.
