While the 2024 election is a year away, it is interesting to see who declared candidacy for the Republican ticket. Donald Trump declared his candidacy in November 2022. Nikki Haley and Vivek Ramaswamy both announced their candidacy in 2023. Haley announced her candidacy in mid-February, while Ramaswamy announced his candidacy in late February of 2023.

Ron DeSantis, the governor of Florida, is also expected to announce his candidacy sometime this year for the 2024 election for Presidency.

Despite the expected and anticipated declaration of President Biden's reelection bid, Marianne Williamson formally announced her candidacy on March 4th, 2023. She ran in 2020 but withdrew her bid after supporting Bernie Sanders.
